Mike Splechta commented on Gaming forum NeoGAF goes up in smoke after sexual harassment allegations against founder:
Just gonna chime in on this, GameZone staff has literally 0 control over what ads get shown. Not to mention, they're usually targeted, meaning they usually relate to something you've searched for yourself. So....

Mike Splechta commented on [Watch] GT Sport compared to Forza Motorsport 7, same car and track; Full GT Sport car list revealed:
Yikes! These comments. I just wish GT didn't take itself so seriously. Like, yea you can be a sim AND be fun, as the mainline Forza series have proven. Like, I get that driving tests are a part of the GT DNA, but man I don't find that shit fun at all. Even just booting up both games, you get a totally different vibe, and you immediately know what each game is going for. Forza and its stylish menus and music give you the impression that you'll have fun despite it being a sim, and the options allow for literally anyone to jump in and have fun. GT on the other hand greets you with classical music, and sterile menus. Immediately I knew what was happening here. Then I saw the series of driving school challenges etc. and a -sigh- online only campaign mode, and it was clear to me that despite having so many years to bake, it still clings too hard to its past. It's a shame. I wanted to love GT, but Forza still remains king in my eyes. Just this guy's opinion.

Mike Splechta commented on Shadow of War on Xbox One X is a "respectable" jump over the PS4 Pro:
I'm stating the obvious because it IS obvious. Anyone shocked/surprised about the fact that the xbox one x runs games better is just being silly at this point. If anything I will concede that PS4 Pro vs Xbox One comparisons were a bit unfair, because, again, the pro was objectively better in specs, so expecting for Xbox to look better was silly as well. I'm saying welcome to next-gen because it's about damn time the console doesn't have to concede to a lower resolution in order to run a game properly. If youre specifically looking out for comments that cry over the need to stop comparison videos then it seems like you're simply seeking vindication over being "bullied" for the past 3-4 years. To that I say, fuck comments. If you like the Xbox and you're happy with its lineup of games, then what does it matter that ipwnyourmom69 thinks the Xbox is trash? As for Nintendo, they're in a league of their own, I don't really consider what they're doing next-gen, and they don't seem to care either, and so far its working for them with the Switch, so who am I to say otherwise.

Mike Splechta commented on Shadow of War on Xbox One X is a "respectable" jump over the PS4 Pro:
Man, how long has this angst been building up. I'm assuming 3-4 years? The Xbox One X is a more powerful console, objectively. As in, better parts inside the console. If the console didn't have better looking games than the PS4, well that just wouldn't make any sense now would it? On the flipside, PS4 was objectively more powerful than the Xbox One, so obviously games were going to look better. Comparison vids are always going to be important, no matter what, and it's great to see Microsoft finally coming on top for once. With that said, welcome to next-gen Microsoft. Took you a while.
