Rumor: GTA 5 might see Nintendo Switch release

After months of speculation, Rockstar Games revealed that L.A. Noire will indeed be releasing on the Nintendo Switch, proving a couple rumors to be true. Now, one of the folks that brought the L.A. Noire/Switch rumors to light is teasing another yet Rockstar port for the Nintendo platform.

According to NeoGaf member Vern (via Nibel) anyone who wants to see Grand Theft Auto V hit the Nintendo Switch just needs a little patience. This indirectly suggests that Rockstar could very well be working on a GTA V port for the Nintendo Switch.

At first thought, GTA V might seem too heavy of a game for the Switch, but it should be noted that GTA V originally released on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 in 2013. If the game does get ported, it could be that version of the game that gets ported. On top of that, Bethesda is bringing the recently released DOOM to the Switch and if that's possible, anything is (within reason).

L.A. Noire releases on Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and PS4 on November 14th, 2017, with its most expensive version being for the Switch.

Vern posted the following explanation behind the "patience" post:

"Been sitting on this cuz I'm not sure it's really worthy of a post (because I lack the most important details) but fuck it, why not...heard awhile back more from R* is in development, from my most reliable source, but wouldn't confirm what or when. Essentially was told it shouldn't be a surprise what title it is. I personally fully expect a GTA title (whatever it may be) because it makes sense since you see everyone clamoring for it in every damn thread, and it's the biggest game on Earth. It's probably Table Tennis lol Now watch this post get turned into Youtube videos and GoNintendo news articles again, when I said nothing at all of actual substance. For real this is in no way confirming a GTAV port is coming, it's just my solid as fuck source giving me some info and my own educated guessing. Probably shouldn't have said anything because I have nothing, and in 6 months or a year when another R* title gets announced I can claim I was right. So just ignore what I said somehow. I blew it. "

That's why you take a grain of salt with everything you read, as the subhead suggests.
