Microsoft is allegedly developing a AAA game with a style 'similar to Horizon: Zero Dawn'

That's competition for you.

By now, there's no question that Horizon: Zero Dawn is one of this console generation's most successful game. Naturally, with success inevitably comes inspiration and imitation, and a recent job listing is pointing to Microsoft developing a game with a similar visual style to that of Horizon: Zero Dawn. The listing was posted almost two months ago by a recruiter on LinkedIn and targets a Lead Environment Artist for a "Microsoft AAA Nextgen Title."

Here's a screenshot of the job listing:

This isn't necessarily an unusual practice as competitors often look to each other for ways to top the other. Sony did something similar back in the early 2000's during the PS2/OG Xbox era when they introduced their alleged "Halo killer," KillZone, which ironically was developed by the same studio as Horizon: Zero Dawn.

In other Horizon: Zero Dawn news, Sony announced an all-new story expansion for the game during their E3 2017 presser called The Frozen Wilds, but there is currently no release date set for it.
