Call of Duty: WWII will only launch with three War mode maps
That's the opposite of many
Some early copies of Call of Duty: WWII have already been found in the wild and with them, some more details about this highly anticipated game such as War mode only launching with three maps.
With three days left to release, players can confirm that one of the best things with the multiplayer in Call of Duty WWII, the War mode, will only launch with three maps. New maps will come later on but Sledgehammer has said that these new maps will come via DLC, which is a bit disappointing.
The three maps that will be available for everyone at launch will be Operation Breakout (the map from the beta), Operation Griffin, and Operation Neptune, meaning players will get to fight close to Saint-Lô, in the Ardennes, and in Normandy.
But there is also good news and that is that the War mode will be playable offline with bots! Allowing players to enjoy the War mode offline really fits with the cinematic presentation. War mode supports up to 12 players but will have customizable settings in case players want to fiddle about and do their own thing. Just like the rest of the multiplayer modes, War mode will be available in hardcore as well.
Some other, none War mode map related news, is that Call of Duty WWII will launch with a 9GB patch, so make sure to add the 9GB to the file size when calculating how much hard drive space needs to be cleared in order to fit the game. Check out exactly how much your platform will need here.
Call of Duty: WWII will release on November 3rd for Xbox One, PC, and PlayStation 4.
